LITTER REFERRAL INFORMATION IS BELOW.

RESERVING A PUPPY

RESERVATIONS

We require a deposit in order to reserve a puppy.

We want you to bring the right puppy into your home. We will base this decision on our experience, knowledge, and the information you have provided us with. The more you can tell us about yourself, your family and your lifestyle the better fit we can make for you and your new puppy.

At birth, all we know for sure is how many males and females are in the litter.  Personalities do not develop until the pups are 5 to 6 weeks. From that time on, we look at every aspect of the pups in the litter including structure, aptitude, energy level and we do some temperament testing before making our final placement decisions.  Determinations are not made until all evaluations have been done and the pups are examined by our vet for a clean bill of health.  This will not take place until the pups reach 7 weeks of age.

While we encourage you to visit once the pups reach 4 weeks of age, we won't know which pup will be yours until right before they are ready to leave so, please trust us, we’ve been doing this for decades and know more about the pups in the litter than anyone.  If we feel any of our pups will not suit your needs, we will tell you and your deposit will be fully refunded.

If you feel the need to choose your own puppy, we are not the breeders for you.

TRAINING REQUIREMENT

Our pups love to be trained!  We expect that you will use a crate for housetraining.  It is required your pup attend Puppy Kindergarten and at least one additional level of companion obedience class.  This will be one of the best investments you can make.  Because of media hype and public misconception, dogs are often thought of as more of a nuisance than a welcome addition to a family.  A well trained, well mannered dog is always appreciated!

FENCING REQUIREMENT

We follow Golden Rescue's requirements for fencing:

The fence must be:

  • Constructed of wood (stockade, picket), metal (iron, chain link), or wooden/metal posts with heavy gauge wire.

A minimum fence height of 4 feet.

      Lockable gate.

      Fenced area directly accessible
      from home is preferred.

CONTACT BERNA at
pebwin@comcast.net for further information regarding our requirements.
